Awkward Encounters with Co-Workers Today and its only 10am

Don’t stop suddenly talking about your mother’s day with great animation because I walked into the room and I don’t have a mother and you feel guilty. You’re not responsible for my mother’s death and I don’t expect everyone around me to stop living there lives because mine has come to a screeching halt.

It’s so odd how co-workers don’t know how to handle themselves around you anymore. Am I really that different?? I guess I am a lot more depressed, have a very dark sense of humor and I’m partial to wearing all black lately but I’m still the same person. I’m just mourning

2010 has been the year of sadness for me. Watching my mother die a slow and painful death a few months ago and now watching my husband’s grandmother pass away last week as well. I’m just surrounded by sadness and I just feel the gloom and misery and depression. It makes me feel alive.

  1. Aww that does suck. They are dorks for over reacting, and inevitably making YOU uncomfortable.

  2. Don't try to take it too personally, they're just trying to be considerate. They probably don't understand. I know it feels awkward when people are walking on eggshells around you, but they just don't want to make you too uncomfortable (even though in doing so they make you uncomfortable anyway).

Anyway, for the saltwater flush I used regular tap water, which where I am is always lukewarm (never useful - too warm to drink, to cold to do dishes!)which just tasted sorta like chicken broth. And be sure to use sea salt, not iodized table salt. (from my reading, a sea salt/water solution has the same gravity as blood, therefore it doesn't get absorbed and the body expels it, whereas table salt gets absorbed and you'd just be drinking salty water with no benefits - gross!)

Mix it well, the last few gulps are way saltier than the rest. Plug your nose if you have to. Drink it quick, I kinda casually sipped mine over the course of 20 minutes, and I think it works better if you do it all at once.

Its safe, and for my first one I only had to hang around the apartment for about an hour or two. Its not "explosive" or uncontrollable, you can just feel it gurgling along and eventually it feels like you have, well, diarrhea. As long as you can control yourself in THAT situation long enough to find thyself a bathroom, you'll do fine. :)

Plan it for a day when you'll have 2-3 hours with no expectations. If you're comfortable having "stomach problems" around your hubby you can even do it when he's around.

Nothin to it. And it works :)

    Hope I helped!
